The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
